The name Ten Thousand Things is taken from a Daoist philosophy: “One thing begets 10,000 things.” Ten Thousand Things designers David Rees and Ron Anderson search out hard to find gemstones, rare pearls and precious and semi-precious beads and make each piece by hand using 18 karat gold or sterling silver settings. Inspired by fine chaining and executed in minute scale the result is an irregular beauty which is small and precious. The store is full of organic, hand worked clusters of stones made into delicate, dangling earrings, necklaces, and bracelets that are hard to resist. They are also the exclusive dealer of eighteen-karat-gold rings by Lola Brooks.
